Another busy few days of testing and development, new bugs found, new features being added, slowly but steady, if you missed the previous release, you can find the notes here.

What’s changed in this release

Bug fixes

  • Drop caps (the big first letter of a paragraph) now export at the right size instead of shrinking to match the body text.
  • Numbers inside circles (and other shaped frames) now sit properly centered instead of sticking to the top.
  • Page footers now show the document’s real total (“4 / 5”) instead of repeating the current page (“4 / 4”).
  • Text variables from InDesign — like Last Page Number — now carry their actual value into the exported page instead of showing up as a stray marker.
  • Documents where numbering restarts at a section now count to the end of that section, matching what InDesign prints.
  • Text lines with mixed type sizes are now measured at their own size instead of the frame’s, so small lines no longer take up extra height and push the rest of the text out of place.
  • Page totals follow the Pages panel, so roman numerals and section-renumbered pages come out right.
  • Paragraphs that wrap onto more than one line were creeping upward by about 5px, pulling everything below them out of place — they now sit where InDesign puts them.
    • The same correction is skipped on older browsers that don’t need it, so nothing shifts the wrong way there.
  • Drop caps whose character style left the font unset crashed the export — those unset values are now ignored instead of being read as a font name.
  • Photos with transparency or a blend mode applied to the picture itself (rather than to its frame) exported flat and opaque, hiding the colour panels behind them.
  • Exporting crashed on drop caps whose character style left the font unset.
  • Multi-column text frames like the table of contents now lay out as they do in InDesign: correct columns, spacing, tab alignment and letter spacing, with raised text kept in place.

New Features or Enhancements

  • Added a “Remove attribution” checkbox to the export panel. All exports now include attribution to the plug in and a link to my website, but we understand that in some scenarios this is not acceptable, so you can remove it by checking the box before doing your export
